EVENT TICKETS
Where is the best spot to Book Tickets in US?
As much as it pains me to say it Ticketmaster.com is your ‘safest’ bet for sports and concerts, however I personally prefer TickPick.com they charge no fees (though some is usually built in the price) but its usually cheaper than others.
It is still worth checking all sites though including: stubhub.com, seatgeek.com and vividseats.com as unique tickets occasionally pop up for a great price but stock on all 4 are usually the same.
For theatre TodayTix.com is a great app/site which shows all shows playing, with a built in ticketing tool, they often have ‘Rush Tickets’ for half priced same day seats that you can buy directly. They also have lotteries to get extremely discounted tickets, sometimes up to 90% off.
Where is the best spot to book tickets in UK/EU?
Soccer tickets are some of the hardest to come by in all the world, especially for certain teams. For the big premier league teams/big European clubs (Barcelona/Madrid/Bayern) you have a couple options. One is to sign up as a member and try to buy directly through the ‘fan only ticket exchange’, this is the most official and cheapest but unlikely to get tickets this way.
For others (e.g West Ham) you can buy directly off the website
Next best is to try hospitality using someone like ticketed.com or p1travel.com. This will give you official tickets but at a premium.
Lastly you can use livefootballtickets.com and stubhub.ie for resale, there is always risk with these site but have money back guarantee and generally work. Look for tickets that have instant download and specific seat numbers.
For other sports/shows, generally these are easier to get go directly to the team website to buy.
TodayTix.com is also live in London for Theatre
Where is the best spot to book tickets in AUStralia?
If its for sport you have to go direct, either Ticketek.com.au or Ticketmaster.com.au depending on the venue.
If an event is sold out, usually you can buy corporate hospitality directly through the home team’s site.
For concerts the same applies but due to the more General Admission nature of most concerts you can usually grab a good deal on tixel.com I’ve used them many times and never had an issue.
TodayTix.com is also live in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane for Theatre
TRANSPORT TICKETS
Where is the best spot to book Plane tickets?
I try to avoid Expedia and other sites as they usually don’t have the best options for you, if you have your heart set on a comparison tool I like Google Flights the best, I used to be a skyscanner.com guy and although it works, I think google flights interface is better, sometimes even recommended train options where far cheaper.
Where do i Book EU TRAIN TICKETS?
Unless you are doing a crazy amount of travel a Eurail pass is usually a scam as you end up paying seat reservation fees, search up the countries local rail. What I like to do is put the route into Google Maps and then it lists the train times, the companies and sometimes the prices from there you can do the comparison.
Where do i Book Asia TRAIN TICKETS?
The opposite applies for Japan, you need to do just 1 return trip to justify a Rail pass in both Japan and Korea. I still like to put the route into Google Maps and then it lists the train times, the companies and sometimes the prices from there you can do the comparison. But I bought all my passes for both Japan and Korea from Klook.com, but you can search for the official rail company.
Where do i Book USA TRAIN TICKETS?
The ‘Mericans aren’t that complicated, just got to www.amtrak.com
Where do i Book AUS TRAIN TICKETS?
Lol I wish, just hop on a train, there is no where to go except Frankston.
Where do i Book CAR HIRE?
In general the big players are generally safest. I like Avis.com, but this is mainly because of their corporate deals, (I recommend checking to see if you company has a discount code, most big corporates do). Sixt.com is a new player but proving very reliable and well priced. Of course you can go with any, make sure to do a price comparison.
